How to use Olive oil for Psoriasis?

Psoriasis can be a real dilemma to deal with and requires a professional consent before resorting to any sort of home remedy to treat this problem. Olive oil Bath:

Having bath an olive oil is very beneficial to your skin especially when you can Psoriasis. Due to the high fatty acid and vitamin E content in olive oil it helps to deal with burns and skin lesions caused by Psoriasis effectively. Empty at least two teaspoons of olive oil into a warm bucket of water and wash your body effectively at least thrice or four times a week for the best result. Try to avoid using soap during these sessions as soap will only instigate the Psoriasis to grow.

Anti Inflammatory:

If you are suffering extensively with a very bad burning sensation on various areas of your skin caused by Psoriasis then it is best that you apply warm olive oil to these areas. Olive oil acts as an anti inflammatory agent that helps soothe the burning sensation on your skin so that you can deal with this disease effectively. You can use your hands or a clean cloth to carry out this process.

Extra virgin olive oil:

Extra virgin olive oil is a great moisturiser for dry skin which are the symptoms of Psoriasis. Extra dry skin can cause flaking which is very irritating. Extra virgin olive oil helps to keep these dry areas in check by acting as a very efficient moisturiser. A few small dabs of this wondrous oil is all you need to achieve the results you require. The results are immediate and long lasting.

Burn wounds:

Olive oil has also been found to heal burn wounds over time which is very similar to Psoriasis thus we know now it can be used in this field as well. Psoriasis is a very persistent problem which if not checked can be very drastic on your skin. It spread over time causing high level of pain and irritation. Use small dabs of olive oil to soothe the areas of your skin affected by burn wounds caused by Psoriasis to achieve the best results over time. Try using extra virgin olive oil which is a very potent form of the oil.

Effective Application:

It all comes down to how effectively you apply the olive oil to your Psoriasis affected areas. If you apply the oil and then wipe down immediately then no results will be gained from application of the olive oil but if you let the oil sit for a long period of time your skin will absorb the vitamin E and fatty acids to help clean the plaques formed by Psoriasis effectively. Try applying the oil at night and leave it till the morning after, after which use a clean cloth to wipe yourself down or have a bath with clean warm water with two teaspoons of olive oil.
