Ramdev Baba Yoga for Weight Loss

Yoga has been recognized as the ultimate way to lose weight and bust your stress. It fights stubborn fat and is suitable for all ages. People of all size and ages shall definitely a find a solution to their weight loss by doing some yoga. Since yoga has been a part of India for hundreds of years, it has been an inspiration to many. So many yoga instructors have emerged recently and the one we always talk about is Baba Ramdev. He has given Yoga a whole new dimension. He has come up with solutions to several health related problems such as hair loss, obesity, deadly diseases as well as body pain. But since we are focusing on weight loss here, let me show you some of the basic yoga poses suggested by Baba ji to help us lose weight.

Crescent Pose:

To do the main move, simply stand with your feet together and lift your hands straight up in the air. Now take your right leg and place it backwards. Bend your left knee to a 90 degree and gaze forward. Breathe deeply. Do this move for about ten times before you can move on to the next exercise. This will help you lose weight within a short period of time.

Willow Pose:

Stand with your feet together and keep your hands by your side. Place your right leg on your left knee and stand in a Namaste pose. Extend your arms right up and exhale. Repeat 3 to 5 times before you call it an end. This will help you to lose weight and maintain your balance for a longer period of time. Don’t forget to switch sides. Keep your eyes closed and relax yourself throughout.

Seated Forward Bend Pose:

The seated forward bend pose is another great move for all those who would like to lose weight. This has been taught by Baba Ramdev several times and is indeed great for your body. Sit your yoga mat and keep your leg straight out in front of you. Breathe in. Now as you breathe out, bend your whole torso along with the hands and touch your feet. Hold in that position for a couple of seconds and then let it relax. Do it for 3 to 4 minutes without stopping.

Locust Pose:

The Locust pose can be quite challenging but is very effective for all those who are trying to shed some pounds. All you need to do is lie down on the mat first. Your arms should be behind you. Position them in such a way that it is parallel to the ground. It should not touch the ground. Now, to make things more effective you can lift both your legs simultaneously. Hold yourself in that position for a couple of seconds and then let it relax. This move will help you stay, active, healthy and fit all the time.

Cat Pose:

To do the cat pose, sit on the mat like a four legged animal. Spread your fingers out and gaze at the floor. Your head should be down now. Now breathe in and out. As you do this, press the middle of your back upwards and it come back to normal. Now look at the floor and curl your head towards the inside. You can repeat this exercise about 10 times in order to get the best results. After this, you can make your torso upright as usual.
