The dosage of castor oil is different for an adult and for a child. The dosage may also be upon the level of constipation also! If in case you are not able to get directions from any one you may take a spoon of castor oil if you are an adult i.e. 4.92 milliliters and you make take a spoon if you are a child i.e. 2.46 milliliters.

This may also depend upon the severity of your constipation. you must follow the instructions as given by your pharmacist and you must take the intake in the morning itself with a empty stomach to get the best results.

Take a proper measuring spoon to take the oil. As if you take more than what is required you may be into a big fuss! You may also mix the oil if you are not able to take it directly with the food (breakfast) you eat butt the results would not be as good as needed.
