How to Prepare Your Body for GM Diet – Day 3?:
The 3rd Day of your GM Diet is going to easy for you, unlike the first two days during which you had to struggle to get your taste-buds aligned to the sudden diet change. Today, you will be required to mix fruits and vegetables instead of sticking to just one food group. As you are already used to eating these foods, the transition will be much easier.
You can stock up on some fresh fruits and vegetables (minus the ones you avoided on Day 1 and Day 2). Also, keep your body hydrated by drinking 8-10 glasses of water throughout the day. Starting your day with some meditation or Pranayama can increase internal awareness and relieve stress.

GM Diet – Day 3 Sample Meal Plan:
The 3rd Day of Gm Diet Plan offers a perfect blend of fruits and vegetables. You might have already stocked up on these foods for Day 1 and Day 2. So, take them out today and make a chart to cover all of them at different times of the day.
You are free to replace the exotic veggies or fruits listed here with locally available varieties to make an Indian version of GM Diet – Day 3 Meal plan.
Let us look into a sample diet chart:
Start your day with ½ Cup of Water-melon or 1 big apple or ½ Cup Musk Melon or Pineapple. You can add a dash of lime to enhance the taste of the fruits. Also, if you have melons, be sure to drink 1-2 glasses of water for quick digestion.
You can binge on one cup of cherry tomatoes or fruits like 1 Cup of Grapes, 4-5 slices of Guava etc. Keep it light and easy. If required, have one glass of water to stay hydrated.
For lunch, you can have a bowl of mixed fruit and vegetable salad. Use lettuce, tomato, boiled beetroots, cucumber, pomegranate seeds etc. and toss them well with some salt, lemon juice and pepper. Don’t use any salad dressing, mayo or vinegarette. Again, drink 1-2 glasses of water.
Have one whole orange or ½ Cup of Cantaloupe/Kiwi/Honeydew Melon/Musk Melon etc. If you are low on energy levels, replace plain water with lime water. Preferably, don’t add salt or sugar in it.
Dinner can be light yet delicious! So, pan roast some vegetables like tomatoes, mushrooms, carrot, Cauliflower, Broccoli, Bell Peppers etc. Add some chat masala or black salt and pepper. Finish it with 1-2 glasses of water.

- Eat whenever you are hungry and don’t starve yourself
- You can replace plain water with orange juice, lemon juice etc.

Experts still don’t recommend any heavy exercise on Day 3 of the GM Diet plan. Your body may still be adjusting to the diet changes on this day. So, continue the light workouts like jogging, walking, yoga, stretching etc. to stay active and burn extra calories. If you feel inactive or lethargic, take it easy and give yourself another day off. The list of foods to avoid on Day 3 of the GM Diet is not very different from the 1st two days. You will be required to say NO to these foods:
- Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes
- Corn, Legumes, Lentils
- Oil no more than 2 tbsp (only olive oil, coconut oil and butter is allowed)
- Artificial Sweeteners
- Salad Dressings
- Sugar, Excess Salt

Why This Works?:
The body starts burning more calories effectively on this day. This happens because of the excess dietary fiber acquired from the fruits and vegetables. Also, the high amounts of fluids consumed in the form of water, lemon juice etc. that can eliminate toxins from the body and speed up the digestion process. Also, on day 3, you are sending signals to the brain that you are not starving your body anymore. This is when the fat burning process gets activated!
How Will You Feel at The End of GM Diet – Day 3?:
By the end of Day 3, you will feel more energetic, active and satisfied than the first two days. You are given the freedom to choose foods which are both sweet (fruits) and savoury (vegetables), which can make you happy mentally and physically.
Some people may still experience a dull headache, which may not be too bothersome. If you happen to experience any abnormal symptoms like diarrhea, vomiting, stomach ache, urine discoloration etc. please check with your doctor immediately!

1. Can I drink Coffee while on GM Diet Day 3?

3. Can I use honey in water or lime juice?
