5 Homemade Green Tea Face Packs

Like we all know, green tea has various benefits on health and has become very popular within no time. Here are a few different ways to use green tea for your beauty regime too. Here is a quick way to make green tea that is normally used for face masks.

To Make Green Tea:

Things You Need: One cup Boiling Water and Green Tea Leaves/ Tea Bags. Boil water and add 2-3 UN-flavored green tea bags to it. Cover with a lid and remove from the flame. Please note, that for face masks this is a strong green tea that is normally used. We use this green tea face packs to all the below mentioned.

1. Using Rice Flour:

To make the mask, take 2 teaspoons of rice flour and add just enough green tea to make a smooth paste. It might require a little whipping for the paste to become smooth. Make sure it is not very dilutes and does not drip from the face when applied. Use on clean face for about 20 minutes. Then rinse off with cool water. There might be a need to apply little moisturizer after you pat dry the face. This mask cleanses the face and lightens the complexion. It is a good green tea face mask.

2. Using Curd And Lemon Juice:

Take one teaspoon hung curd (unsweetened) and add half teaspoon lemon juice to it. Mix with two teaspoons of green tea water to it and make a smooth paste. Apply on the face and leave for 20 minutes. Now rinse thoroughly using warm water. This is a good mask for very sensitive skin as curd is rich in protein, Vitamin D and calcium that keep all skin troubles at bay. Use of lemon cleanses the skin and also helps de-tan. This is one of the best homemade green tea face packs.

3. Using Peaches And Gelatin:

This is a peel of face mask. You need ¼ cup peach nectar and about 30 grams of gelatin. To make the mask, make green tea as directed above, while the tea is hot, put it into a double boiler set up. Add peach nectar and gelatin and stir continuously till it boils. Set aside and let it cool, then refrigerate it for half an hour. Use a thick layer of this cold mask on clean skin and leave for 5-10 minutes. Peel off after it dries and wipe the face with a moist towel. This mask will rejuvenate the skin and is an excellent way to naturally cleanse your skin with the beautiful aroma of peaches.

4. Using Green Tea And Honey:

For the mask, you need green tea granules that can be obtained by cutting a teabag. Take 2 teaspoons of green tea granules and mix it with 2 teaspoons honey. Apply it on the face for 20 minutes. After the honey dries, use warm water and gently rub the pack on the skin for 5 minutes, then rinse of well using cool water. This pack is an excellent exfoliate and cleanser to the skin. Honey has anti-oxidants that moisturizes the skin and also removes blackheads.

5. Using Bananas And Cream:

For the mask, mash half a ripe banana and add a teaspoon of fresh cream to it. Mix well and add a teaspoon of green tea or just enough green tea to make a smooth paste. Apply on the skin for 15 minutes and rinse using cold water. The mask is meant to freshen up the skin and bring it to life in no time. The cream is beneficial for naturally moisturizing the skin.
