Flushing away toxins are an integral part of any diet. So while we say no to all the aerated and caffeinated drinks while dieting, we need to come up with a detox punch which we can carry around and drink whenever we crave for the usual sweet beverage in between our coffee breaks at work. The primary ingredients of this drink are Watermelon, cucumber, lemon, mint leaves and water. Steep all the ingredients as per taste in a jar with 2 litres of water overnight. Next morning adjust according to your taste.

Watermelon helps contains the organic compound citrulline, which is an amino acid that helps clean away traces of ammonia byproducts from our body thereby making liver and kidney healthier and boosting metabolism. The lemon and citrus content will help clear the digestive tracks and prevent acid refluxes. Mint improves bile flow and relaxes stomach muscles. This results in better digestion and again improves metabolism. An effective metabolism will ensure that there is a better chance of losing fat and flushing it out with fibre and water.
